Vernon Police Seek Public’s Help In Identifying Stop & Shop Robbers
Vernon Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying the individuals responsible for a robbery at the Stop & Shop supermarket on Union Street on Tuesday, August 23rd.
At approximately 9:00 PM, two masked individuals entered the store and approached the customer service desk. They displayed handguns and demanded money from the clerk. The clerk complied, and the individuals fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash.
No injuries were reported during the robbery.
Vernon Police have released surveillance footage of the individuals involved in the robbery. The footage shows two masked individuals, one wearing a black hoodie and the other wearing a gray hoodie.
Vernon Police are asking anyone with information about the robbery or the individuals involved to contact the Vernon Police Department at (860) 872-9126.
Vernon Police are also asking local businesses and residents to review their surveillance footage from the time of the robbery to see if they have captured any footage of the individuals involved.
The Vernon Police Department is urging the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the police.

Physical Appearance
One suspect is described as a male, approximately 5’10” tall, with a thin build. He was wearing a black hoodie, black pants, and a black mask.
The other suspect is described as a male, approximately 6’0″ tall, with a medium build. He was wearing a gray hoodie, gray pants, and a gray mask.
Clothing and Accessories
Both suspects were wearing gloves and masks to conceal their identities.
The suspect wearing the black hoodie was also carrying a black backpack.
Weapons
Both suspects were armed with handguns.

Vernon Police have released surveillance footage of the individuals involved in the robbery.
The footage shows the two masked individuals entering the store and approaching the customer service desk.
