Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory is one of the most infamous drug traffickers in American history. He and his brother, Terry “Southwest T” Flenory, founded the Black Mafia Family (BMF), a criminal organization that operated out of Detroit from the late 1980s to the early 2000s.
BMF was responsible for distributing large quantities of cocaine and other drugs throughout the United States. The organization was eventually taken down by the FBI in 2005, and Demetrius Flenory was sentenced to 30 years in prison.
Lil Meech was just 10 years old when his father was arrested. He said that growing up without his father was tough, but that he learned a lot from his mother and other family members.
“I’m proud of my father,” Lil Meech said. “He’s a strong man who’s made some mistakes, but he’s also a good man who loves his family. I know he’s not perfect, but I love him anyway.”
